"Leeward" – 2010 Beneteau First 40

Leeward, an exciting 2010 Beneteau First 40, joined the Allsail Pittwater Yacht Charter fleet from November 2021 – and has undergone extensive upgrades since then.

The First 40 combines state-of-the art performance features with contemporary interior and exterior styling.

She is in AMSA commercial survey for inshore/offshore charter. Bareboat charter for 12 by day and up to 8 by night.

Also available for skippered day charter for up to 15 passengers.

Leeward will also be used for club sailing and racing and be available for a limited number of non-equity yachtshare members who get 24 days a year private use of the yacht.

The yacht is well equipped with Hood performance mainsail (2022) and sturdy performance furling headsail (2023) – plus numerous other sails when competing in regatta).

New B&G electronics were fitted in 2019 and upgraded in 2024.

A boom bag with lazy jacks and boom sun cover – plus a fold down cockpit table and bbq have been added to enhance the ease of use and the charter experience.

The spacious cockpit is carefully designed to promote efficient handling for sailing and lots of entertaining space when moored.

The open transom and long swim ladder provide excellent access for swimming.

Below deck the light and airy contemporary styling provides ample interior volume for comfortable cruising.

The very contemporary interior is finished in  light blonde oak timber, stainless steel, leather and fabrics.

Leeward accommodates three double/queen cabins and two convertible berths in the saloon for exceptional flexibility when cruising. The saloon has nearly 2 metres of head height and the table has 2 adjustable height settings and can be expanded to suit your party.

The First 40 does not compromise on safety, is easily handled by an experienced couple  – or a full crew –  and yet its level of comfort makes living on board very pleasant.
