What's On at Allsail

Club Sailing and Training at Allsail is Suspended

The now enforced lockdown style restrictions in NSW mean that at Allsail we have had to reconsider whether sailing operations could continue.

NSW Maritime and NSW Department of Sport and others are still clarifying to what extent sailing is acceptable as exercise – but in any case the 2 person rule means at this stage we have made the decision to suspend club sailing sessions and training operations effective 1 April.

Our suspension is for April at this stage although likely to go forward into May or even further.

But our objective going forward is for all of us to be safe and ensure everyone is looked after  – club members, students, instructors and staff – plus our many regular cruisers and charterers – and their families.

We also need to be able to maintain the clubs sailing assets so that when this crisis is over Allsailers are ready to hit the water  - and enthusiastic for the 2020/21 season.

Charters booked for the coming holiday period have been deferred for use for up to 12 months with no fees  - deposits taken being held.

This has been well received by all our charterers who are all keen to get back on the water when the situation improves. Some have rebooked for September – others are keen to get on the water earlier if possible.

Similarly our Best of Greek Islands Cruise for June 2020 is now rebooked and confirmed for June 2021 – with most of those booked keen and having confirmed for next year – ask us about remaining available spaces.

Hopefully restrictions will be easd in the second half of 2020 and we can get Allsailers back on the water.

Feel free to call us for more detail, to make an advance booking - or just to say hello.

Allsail's Regatta Season 2020

Whilst sailing is currently suspended Allsailers have had some great fun and scored some top results in the shortened 2019/20 season

The RMYC Monday Twilight series wrapped up a week early and whilst we were looking for one more week of racing Allsail can’t complain about the final scores:

In this the premier sailing series on Pittwater our yachts have been very successful.

Allsail Dancing Star won the Blue Division 1st prize and Another Challenge came in 2nd in the top Red Division.

After a disruptive summer including bushfires, gales, lightning strikes and now a shortened season due to Covid19 restrictions this is a great result.

Congratulations to our skippers Allan and Russell, plus great cover from Bob and Craig – and the many of our members who contributed as crew throughout the series.

Allsail is also proud to be the sponsor of the Yellow Division won by Michael Cramsie on Tiwi 2.

Other recent results include:

4th for Dancing Star and 5th for Another Challenge at the 2020 Sydney Harbour Regatta.

Another Challenge 3rd in Division 1 in the RPAYC 2019/20 Inshore Spinnaker series behind Peter Byford’s Sydney 38 Conspiracy and John McConaghy’s Second Time Around.

Another Challenge second in Division 1 of the Pittwater Regatta Ensign series in February

Allsail and CoVid 19

The response to the CoVid 19 outbreak is a moving target - and whilst club and training sailing and most charters are currently suspended  - we look forward to getting Allsailers back on the water as soon as commonsense, safety and regulations allow - watch this space

Charter on Pittwater this coming Winter and Spring

Hopeefully restrictions will ease into the second half of 2020 and when they do Allsail Pittwater Yacht Charter will have yachts ready for you.

The weather is usually great from July/ August on - and its a lot less crowded on the water with moorings readily available

And our offpeak rates are 20% below Summer rates!! - great value

Why not treat family and friends to a fabulous sailing time on Sydneys best kept secret waterways - Pittwater, Broken Bay and Cowan Creek.

And ask about our early board Friday for weekend charters.

Check out the Charter section for information, the great rates and details on each yacht.

And you can book with confidence as rescheduling of charters at no fee is usually OK if you have a health problem or government directives prevent you from sailing.

Allsail History

Allsail was started in 1989 by Mike De Berg as a sail training club to satisfy the sailing needs of adult sailors and would be sailors who didn't have a boat, had had a boat and could never get crew - or were just looking fo a social environment of like minded people who had a passion for the sea.
